i paint things which aren’t things and photograph things, especially looking for things at the edge of things.
i’m an abstract artist and photographer, mainly working with physical medium. inspired by music, sound, environment, art and landscape. abstract . contemporary . v i v i d fluid random.
previously i have worked within the music industry, music retail and design, running the empty quarter/teq music? and publishing mfteq, later carbon disks mail order and until recently writing as deadhead / h.marcuse.
between 2000-2010 i exhibited intensively around east anglia and work is held in private collections throughout the world.
mid-2022 saw a marked change furthering threads begun in 2019, exploring imaginary cities, other-worlds and mind’s eye reflected journeys.
sole focus is now on experimental studies, working without any expectations of other parties.
